Stained-glass character
Textured upper glazing brings warmth and privacy without closing the shopfront off from the street.
Custom Steel · Hospitality
A custom restaurant shopfront where engineering, heritage-style glazing and a confident hand-painted finish become part of the venue’s identity.

The project
This was not designed as a neutral frame. The steel shopfront had to work hard every day while contributing directly to the restaurant’s distinctive street presence.
D&G Window Solutions purpose-made the steel system, galvanised it for long-term corrosion protection, installed and glazed it, then completed the yellow marine steel coating by hand. Textured stained glass softens the upper panels, while clear laminated safety glass keeps the entrance open and visible.
Purpose in every detail
The visual identity is strong, but every specification has a practical job: safe access, durable protection and glazing suited to a working hospitality environment.

Project photography
Finished architectural views are paired with the actual installation stage, showing both the completed shopfront and the workmanship behind it.

The completed result
Custom steel allowed the entrance to meet the practical brief without losing the personality that makes Our Local recognisable.
